About San Francisco

San Francisco trade shows and exhibits

San Francisco is the most famous of the three cities that make up what’s generally known as the “San Francisco Bay Area”.  The other two cities are San Jose and Oakland.  The area from San Francisco to San Jose is considered to be the heart of Silicon Valley, a hotbed of entrepreneurship – many of the world’s largest tech companies are headquartered in Silicon Valley, along with thousands of small startups. It’s no surprise that San Francisco is one of the most sought-after locations for tech-oriented trade shows and conferences, as it’s in close proximity to many modern industry leaders.   And you can’t beat the mediterranean climate – although it can be a bit cold and breezy in the summer.

San Francisco is considered the leading cultural and financial center of Northern California and the entire San Francisco Bay Area. It’s the second most densely-populated city in the U.S., next to New York City, and the fourth most-populated city in California. In 2012, San Francisco was home to approximately 825,863 residents. With thousands of restaurants, plenty of shopping and local beach attractions, San Francisco is a popular destination for many of the U.S.’s largest trade shows.
