DNC Backwall Disaster

No disrespect to the DNC, but the backwall at their major press conference on Sunday Feb 26th, was an Epic Fail!
The goal of a media backwall is to provide a positive brand image via a portable backdrop. These backdrops are extremely visible since they're positioned directly behind the speaker and in this case will be seen by millions of viewers. As you can see by the image above, this backwall did the opposite due to it's very poor execution.
The two very big problems with this backwall were as follows:
1. Multiple, very visible, lines and creases running in multiple directions down the backwall
2. Visible hanging hardware at the sides due to the use of an antiquated pole pocket banner stand
A press conference is a very important event and branding opportunity and the DNC was uncharacteristically lax in the quality of their backwall. Next time we'd suggest either a tension fabric display with a pillowcase construction or a pop-up fabric backwall. Both of these products can be purchased for under $1,000 at Iconic Displays and would eliminate both the wrinkles and the visible support hardware.
